What is the Early Access Program (EAP)?
The Early Access Program (or EAP, as it is commonly known), is specific to domains operated by the Donuts registry. Instead of a typical Priority Registration, Donuts offers EAP, which gives you the opportunity to immediately purchase and access your domain. Setup fees vary depending on which day of EAP you choose to purchase your domain. While earlier days have higher setup fees, you also stand a better chance of securing your desired domain before somebody else does. Please note that you will also be charged the standard registration price for the domain in addition to any setup fee.
What is the Donuts registry?
Much the way the Verisign registry supports .COM and .NET domains, Donuts is the domain registry operating the back-end for hundreds of the newest domains.
At what time do domains switch to the new EAP price each day?
Early Access Program prices change every day at 4 p.m. UTC.
What if I place a Pre-Registration for the General Availability phase?
We will attempt to fulfill all Pre-Registrations at the end of the Early Access Program and before domains become available to the public at the start of General Availability.
Can I Pre-Register for a specific day of EAP?
You can certainly can! Just like a typical Pre-Registration, we will attempt to register your desired domain the moment that specific phase of EAP begins.
Will any domains go into auction or a Priority Registration phase?
EAP exists in place of other phases such as Priority Registration or auctions for Donuts registry domains.
